Pelotonia '16 changes

Riders
Pelotonia '16 has new routes and the goals have changed. You also have the option of setting your stretch goal and to sign up as a "High  Roller". Your stretch goal is personal and you will not be charged that additional amount if you do not make it.
Note: If you sign up to be a High Roller, you have a new goal of $5,000. If you do not raise that much money for your ride, your credit card will be charged.

Virtual Riders
Virtual riders now have a set goal of $100. If you sign up to be a virtual rider, you will provide a credit card to be charged if you do not meet your goal. 

Volunteers
Please let know if you would like to be a volunteer. Volunteers are needed for both days of the ride.

Team Fundraising
Susie and Alexis are back at it again.  Keep an eye out for the upcoming food trucks, bake sales, raffles, and pizza parties.

RSVP for Biking with Brutus, Sat. ride, & more!

Greetings, Team! Our Advancement Peloton has raised $39,152.64 so far and we’re up to 115 members – WAY TO GO & WELCOME new team members! Be sure to visit http://pelotonia.org, search Advancement, and check out the profile page of our very special 8 month old virtual rider – VINNY LONARDO!

SATURDAY TRAINING RIDE – July 30 at 9:00 a.m. – Westerville, Hoover Dam Park - 4100 Central College Road, Westerville, OH 43081. Enter the park from Central College (there is a picnic shelter at the entrance), when you get to the stop sign turn right, go up the hill, and park in the first lot you come to on your left.Varying ride distances up to 30 miles will be offered.

NEWER RIDERS – we can start with 5 or 10 miles or go as far as you want. E-mail or call Lindsey by the end of the day Friday, July 29 at lindsey.gale@osumc.edu or 247-1533 if you plan to ride so we can wait for you.

Registered riders, virtual riders, & volunteers - You, one guest and your children are invited to attend Biking with Brutus, an exciting pre-Pelotonia event for Team Buckeye members and their families. The fun will include:


Special program featuring Dr. Gee, Archie Griffin, Dr. Caligiuri and Dr. Gabbe
Team Buckeye rider jersey pick-up (these are being provided free of charge to all Team Buckeye riders)
"Bike The Shoe" Kids Event (see below)
Food
Entertainment
The Ohio State University cheerleaders and band members, Brutus and other Columbus mascots
A chance to meet your fellow riders


Note: parking will be FREE

Short-distance bike rides on the track in Ohio Stadium
Kids will need to bring their own bikes
For children ages 13 and under only
$10 Pelotonia donation per child (designated for the overall Team Buckeye peloton)

Archie will be signing autographs and many great raffle items will be available including football tickets (OSU & Browns), Clippers tickets, autographed memorabilia, Wexner items, lots of restaurant gift cards and other items from local vendors, hotel stays, & many other great items. Updates, rides, & fundraising!

Welcome new team members! We’re now up to 103 members – including 41 riders, 53 virtual riders, and 9 volunteers & we’ve raised $26,260 so far! Thank you for all of your hard work!

WEDNESDAY TRAINING RIDES
We have training rides Wednesday evenings beginning at the OSU Foundation office at 1480 West Lane Avenue (weather permitting). Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. and we will roll out by 6:30. Welcome new team members! We’re now up to 98 members – including 38 riders, 51 virtual riders, and 9 volunteers & we’ve raised $24,070 so far! Huge thanks for all you are doing!

RIDER RECRUITMENT REGISTRATION FEE OFFER EXTENSTION – Jeff Kaplan has extended his registration fee offer until the end of the day Monday, 7/18! He will cover ½ of the $100 registration fee for any riders in his areas who register through 7/18…if we get 13 or more additional riders from his area, he will cover the full $100 fee! TO EVERYONE – the rider registration fee goes up to $150 next Tuesday, so we encourage each of you to PLEASE try to recruit ONE more rider in the next few days!
