Rides, 7/14 happy hour & more!

Welcome new team members! The Advancement Peloton now has 91 members – including 36 riders, 47 virtual riders, and 8 volunteers & we’ve raised $19,818 so far! Huge thanks for all you are doing! Remember, the rider registration fee increases from $100 to $150 on 7/19, so if you haven’t yet registered – please do so today!

WEDNESDAY TRAINING RIDES
We have regular training rides Wednesday evenings beginning at the OSU Foundation office at 1480 West Lane Avenue (weather permitting). Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. and we will roll out by 6:30. Distances up to 20 miles will be offered. Please E-mail or call Lindsey at lindsey.gale@osumc.edu or 247-1533 by the end of the day Wednesday if you plan to attend so we can wait for you.

THURSDAY BUCKEYE BIKER BASH HAPPY HOUR – Thursday, July 14, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Potter Plaza at the Ohio Union,1739 N. High Street. $15 donation per person includes drinks, food, and music and $10 of your donation will be contributed to the Team Buckeye/Advancement rider, virtual rider, or volunteer of your choice! A flyer with more information is attached, including a link to RSVP. SPREAD THE WORD & bring your friends!

SATURDAY TRAINING RIDE
- Saturday, July 16 at 9:00 a.m. – Westerville, Hoover Dam Park, 4100 Central College Road, Westerville, OH 43081. Varying ride distances up to 30 miles will be offered. E-mail or call Lindsey by the end of the day Friday, July 15 at
lindsey.gale@osumc.edu or 247-1533 if you plan to ride so we can wait for you.

Enter the park from Central College (there is a picnic shelter at the entrance), when you get to the stop sign turn right, go up the hill, and park in the first lot you come to on your left.

FUNDRAISING!!
There are only 40 days left until we ride! Please make sure you send your personal
e-solicitations and execute your other fundraising efforts ASAP! While the fundraising timeline
goes through October, it’s much easier to secure funds prior to the ride. If you need any tips or
ideas, please contact Lindsey at lindsey.gale@osumc.edu or 247-1533.

Tuesday, 8/9, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Advancement Peloton Fundraiser & Auction at Longaberger Alumni House! PLEASE HELP – AUCTION ITEMS NEEDED FOR THIS EVENT! Football tickets (OSU & Browns), Clippers tickets, Wexner items, gift cards & other great items have already been secured, but we still need MANY more – please get creative & help us secure items…hotel stays, other game tickets, restaurant gift cards, massages, etc. Please E-mail Kelly Jurcich at: jurcich@ohiostatealumni.org with details on any auction items you have been able to obtain.

YOUR “WHY I RIDE” STORIES NEEDED!
We need to share our stories about why Pelotonia is so important to us! Please e-mail your stories to Jeff Grabmeier at grabmeier.1@osu.edu. These stories will be featured in upcoming e-newsletters and other efforts.
